Roles in a software and locker project

A shared project, with clear roles.

This page describes projects that combine laundry service software and smart lockers. The laundry, host facility and suppliers have separate tasks: we define who makes decisions, who operates the service and who intervenes before the service starts.

Let’s define your project

The parties to the project

Four roles, specific activities.

The same organisation can fulfil more than one role, but the responsibilities remain distinct.

The laundry and the service

It sets processing methods, prices and turnaround times; organises collection and return delivery, tracks orders and receives customer payments. It is the customers’ point of contact for the service.

The host site and the space

It manages access, safety and site conditions. In its role as host, it does not manage garments, orders or payments, and does not load or unload the locker.

LockerClean and the project

It develops the software, configures the platform and coordinates integration. It facilitates contact between laundries and host sites; it does not process or transport garments.

The supplier and the hardware

It designs and produces the locker and carries out work within its remit. Supply, installation and support responsibilities are assigned in the agreements.

Before activation

We define how to work together.

Hardware, software modules, activities and contacts must match the intended service.

Service and access conditions

The laundry organises operator visits; the host defines access to the site. Operations follow the time windows indicated by the system.

Configuration and integration

LockerClean coordinates the digital side. Existing hardware requires technical assessment, any necessary adaptation and integration testing.

Before you start

Some useful answers.

How do you connect laundries and host sites?

We connect laundries with host sites and help them reach the right contacts. If a host site contacts us to install a locker, we can identify and select a suitable laundry to provide the service. Each collaboration is assessed according to the project.

Can the host site have other responsibilities?

Yes, if it takes on a different operational role: activities and responsibilities are distinguished in the agreements.

Is a host site always required?

No. SLC-TD offers basic functions for managing the uniforms of employees at the industrial laundry’s client companies, with developments to be agreed. It does not require lockers or host sites. SLC-WA can also be adopted as management software without the locker channel, according to modules and configuration.

Who manages garment logistics?

The laundry and the parties it appoints, according to how the service is organised.
